HE WAS PROMOTED TO 2ND LIEUT. WHILE SERVING IN THE 1ST RHODE ISLAND.
AND WAS TAKEN PRISONER JUNE 18-1863 AT MIDDLEBURG,VIRGINIA AND LATER RELEASED.
PROMOTED TO 1ST. LIEUT ANFTER BEING TRANSFERRED TO THE
1ST NEW HAMPSHIRE CAVALRY THEN AGAIN TRANSFERRED TO CO.B-1ST NEW HAMPSHIRE
