HE ENLISTED IN THE 3RD NEW YORK CAVALRY IN DEC.1861 AND
WAS TRANSFERRED OUT APRIL 3-1862 INTO CO.G-1ST NEW JERSEY CAVALRY.
PROMOTED TO CORPORAL PRIOR TO RE-ENLISTING DEC.1863.
HE WAS KILLED AT MALVERN HILL,VA. ON JULY 28-1864.
