CIVIL WAR CONFEDERATE.BORN IN NEW YORK CITY HE
ATTENDED THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA AT CHARLOTTESVILLE.MOVED TO GEORGIA AFTER GRADUATING.AT THE ONSET OF THE CIVIL WAR ACCEPTED A CAPTAINS COMMISSION IN THE GEORGIA 2ND BATTALION CAVALRY. AND LATER JOINED THE STAFF OF CONFEDERATE GENERAL ALEXANDER LAWTON.AFTER THE CIVIL WAR BECAME A PLANTER IN GEORGIA BEFORE RETURNING TO THE NEW YORK NEW JERSEY AREA WHERE HE DIED
