Private Benjamin Franklin LaDow Sr. enlisted as a teamster with the 14th Indiana (company unknown) on 12/7/1861 and mustered out on 4/11/1862. He thereafter served with two NJ units as a Private: 24th NJ Co. F. (9/20/1862 - 6/20/1863); 9th NJ Co. D. (4/11/1864 - 7/12/1865).
