Private Elihu R. Peterson (5/1841 - 3/25/1923) enlisted in the New Jersey Volunteer Infantry, Company F, on 9/2/62 and was mustered out on 6/29/63. Thereafter he was drafted to serve in the 9th New Jersey, Company E, on 4/11/65 and mustered out 7/12/65.
