William J.Harrison a Union Civil War soldier had a varied military career.Served in the 7th Regiment New Jersey infantry as 1st Lieut. and in Co.G-33rd Reg.New Jersey infantry as 2nd Lieut. before being promoted to Captain in the 15th Regiment United States Colored infantry.
